The mistery of Shakespeare

ShakespeareNo one knows the truth about Shakespeare; there are only legends, opinions, some documents and his great works…

The name of Shakespeare has always been shrouded in mystery. There are no manuscripts, no portraits, and no reviews from contemporaries left. Even the death of the great playwright was not noticed in literary circles.
We only know that according to church records he was born April 3, 1564 in Stratford. His mother, Mary Arden, was the daughter of a farmer, and his father, John Shakespeare, was the seller of wool and became mayor of Stratford in 1568.

In 1582, November 27, Shakespeare married Anne Hetevey, which was 8 years older than him. Shakespeare had three children: Susanna and twins Judith and Hemneta. Leaving family and Stratford in 1592, he went to London and became an actor in the troupe of the Royal’s Globe Theater. In 1595 Shakespeare is one of the owners of the Royal troupe of James I “. In 1599, he became one of the owner’s Globe Theater, and in 1608 – co-owner of the Dominican theater. By the end of his career in London, Shakespeare became quite wealthy man to afford to buy a noble title and a house in Stratford. However, for unknown reasons, he leaves London and returns to his hometown, where he soon, April 23, 1616 died at age 52.

The biographical information about Shakespeare is scarce and often unreliable. Researchers believe that as a playwright, he began to speak a late 80-ies the XVI century. In press the name of Shakespeare first appeared in 1593 in dedication to Count Southampton poem “Venus and Adonis”. Meanwhile, by the time the scene has already been delivered not less than six plays of the playwright.
“First Folio” – works of William Shakespeare came seven years after his death. His works do not have the exact chronology and the first folio includes the following: “Richard III”, “Henry IV”, “The Taming of the Shrew, The Comedy of Errors, Much Ado About Nothing, Twelfth Night,” “Two gentlemen of Verona “,” Romeo and Juliet.
Two hundred years of arguing about who was William Shakespeare, the greatest playwright, poet and writer of all times and peoples. Why such question have arisen? Nobody doubts that Michelangelo, Raphael, Archimedes, or Sophocles is quite real. But if two hundred years, people struggling with the answer, then the question, the mystery still there?
No information about his life we have, except for the receipts of his debtors, documents on the left to their tithes and wills – a very strange testament, in which there is no hint of the literary activities of this man. There is, however, a monument to Shakespeare in his hometown of Stratford, but the image on it is completely different to their portraits that adorn the collected works. (Incidentally, all the portraits of the Great Bard are, by definition, researchers frauds. The only portrait of a “real” Shakespeare is in the “First Folio”, where the reader’s eyes appears a man in medieval costume, with a wide ploenym collar, which, as platter, an enormous head with a disproportionately elongated forehead and chin, and lifeless eyes. Game of Shadows creates a sense that the image is a person – just a mask.) These and other discrepancies have created a so-called “Shakespeare’s question.” Since the XIX century the researchers of Shakespeare divided into two warring camps: stratfordiantsev (ie, recognized as the author of Shakespeare (SHaksper) from Stratford and nestratfordiantsev (trying to find the real author, hiding under the mask). The latter, in turn, made several “candidates in Shakespeares.
What is the true story and the greatest playwright in the world, almost four centuries fired the humanity? … “The world – theater, and people in it – actors,” – he wrote – and created a performance equal to that never was and probably will not. In this performance involves all who are familiar with its name. This man’s name – Shakespeare.

To be continued.
